Spotlight on…
My name is Wendy and I’m a Marketing Associate here at ARK! I typically have my hand in a little bit of everything, but mostly act as a liaison between our clients and the rest of the team here at ARK.
Describe your job in 3 words: Dynamic, Creative, Rewarding
What do you enjoy doing in your free time? In my free time, I love to relax at home, or with family at my mom’s house (she’s got a pool in her backyard, so her house is totally the best hangout spot). One of my absolute favorite things to do though is ride around in our Jeep when it’s a little cooler outside. Nothing like the wind in your hair and your feet dangling just outside of the vehicle in the cool(ish) breeze! Georgia is a lot like Texas when it comes to the heat, so we take what we can get! I also love to be on the water, so being around any body of water is an automictic happy place for me. It’s the little things!
What’s a fun fact about you many people may not know? I worked at a bakery in college and picked up the art of cake decorating! I’ve impressed myself a few times, but my favorite cake I’ve made to date was a full Thanksgiving turkey, perfectly roasted, that looked just like the real thing. Personally, I’d take a turkey cake over a real turkey any day. 😉
What’s the one thing you can’t live without? My skincare! Sounds so silly, but I have super sensitive skin. My makeup typically comes off as soon as I get home.
If you could have any superpower what would it be? Invisibility of course! I’d love to be a fly on a wall in lots of places.
What’s one food you can’t resist? French fries for sure. The only caveat though is that I need all. the. sauce. to dip them in. You’ve got 10 sauces? I’ll take them all please!
What is your favorite movie/book? Such a hard one! I typically read non-fiction books so a lot of my collection is “self help” or “how-to” based – I love learning new things. 🙂 As far as movies go, I’m not a huge movie person, but my favorite series has got to be the Harry Potter movies. “YOU’RE A WIZARD HARRY!”
What do you like most about your job? Working at ARK has provided me with so many amazing opportunities. I love that each day brings something new as the marketing and technology industries are ever-changing. However, the thing I like most about my job is being able to interact with our amazing clients. I love watching their businesses grow and the relationships I have formed through our partnership is something that truly makes my job so fun and so rewarding.
How would your family and friends describe you in three words? Funny, charming, and genuine
What’s your favorite meme? “Woman Yelling at Cat.” I can’t even with this one – there are so many great captions that have come out of these two stitched pictures, but I’ll grace you with one of my favorites below. 😂
